Amorosa Flamingo Night

The 13th of December–The Amorosa Flamingo Fridays (FF) are staging a comeback. Those second-Friday monthly gatherings died out during Covid and never quite recovered. Here, then, is the tentative plan, with another reminder coming your way closer to the event:

·       Amenity II, 13 Dec, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  (you know, 1800-2200). Write it down.

·       Open to residents of Amorosa and Amorosa Gardens.

·       BYOB, generally wine, as well as an hors d’oeuvres to share. The overriding philosophy: if everyone brings chips, everyone eats chips. Amenity II has wine glasses available.

·       Plan on every-other month for now.  14 Feb should be the next one up. Earlier feedback suggested that monthly gatherings might be too frequent.

·       Although this first FF is at Amenity II, the “host” may elect to have it at their house. While that option was always more popular, attendance began to exceed the space available.

·       Before leaving, a “host” for the next FF needs to step forward. The checklist is simple: reserve the space with management and then promote with a focused e-mail, also sent out by management; set out the glasses and ice; supervise clean-up/bring out the trash; and find the next host.

·       That other philosophy: if something does not work, stop doing it.
